The road
The M-1, Stop by Stop
The motorway is 155 km long. About 67 km of it is in Punjab and the other 88 km is in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Here is what the drive looks like.
- Pickup at your gate in Islamabad or Rawalpindi, then onto the M-1 at the Rawalpindi and Islamabad interchange.
- Fateh Jang and the Hasan Abdal (Burhan) exit, where the old N-5 road meets the motorway.
- The Indus River near Attock, where the road moves from Punjab into Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
- Swabi, and the M-16 link that leads toward Swat and Chakdara.
- Rashakai, the junction for Mardan, then Charsadda and Nowshera.
- The Peshawar Ring Road, and from there your hotel, office or home.
There are 10 service areas on the motorway, five on each side, so a namaz or tea stop is easy to fit in. Tell the driver when you want one.

Same Day Return, One Way or Overnight
Same day return
Two and a half hours each way leaves room for a meeting or a family visit. A normal day is 10 to 12 hours, and the car and driver wait for you.
One way
If you only need to get there, you can book one way. The car still has to come back empty, which costs fuel and time, but we drive this road often in both directions, so we can usually give a fair one way price instead of the full return fare.
Overnight
If you stay in Peshawar, the driver’s food and a room for the night are yours to cover, on top of the trip price. Ask us for the amount when you book.
Price
What the Price Is Based On
Out of city trips are priced by the running, so there is no fixed list price, and we quote after you tell us the date and where you are going. You can choose between two ways to handle costs:
Fuel, toll tax and parking are included in the price we quote.
The price covers the car and driver, and you pay fuel and toll yourself on the road.
For a car, the toll for the full M-1 is Rs 700 under the NHA rates that started on 10 July 2026. Toll rates change from time to time, so we confirm the current figure when we quote.
A booking is a full day even if the trip is short. If you keep the car past 9 PM, the night charge is half the day rate. To lock the car you pay 20% up front through bank transfer, EasyPaisa or JazzCash, and the rest is settled on the day. For the exact rules, read our booking terms.
Cars
Cars for the Peshawar Road
For two or three people, a Toyota Corolla or a Honda Civic is the usual pick. A family of six or seven fits in the Changan Karvaan or the Honda BR-V. For a larger group or a wedding party, the Hiace Grand Cabin and Coaster carry more people and their luggage. If the visit is a business one, a Prado or a Land Cruiser is the better fit. How long does the drive take?
About 2 to 2.5 hours each way on the M-1, depending on traffic near Islamabad and inside Peshawar.
Can I go and come back on the same day?
Yes. A same day return fits inside a normal 10 to 12 hour day, and the driver waits while you finish your work.
On a one way trip, do I pay for the driver's return?
We drive to Peshawar often, so we can usually quote a one way price that is lower than the full return fare. Tell us the date and we confirm the price on WhatsApp.
Is toll tax included in the price?
That is your choice. You can have one amount that includes fuel, toll and parking, or you can pay them yourself on the road.
Do I need a licence or a security deposit?
