Rent a Car Islamabad to Lahore
The drive to Lahore covers about 375 kilometers on the M-2 motorway, usually 4.5 to 5 hours depending on traffic near Islamabad and inside Lahore. A sedan like the Corolla or City comfortably carries normal travel luggage in the boot. If you are moving between cities for work or a family event, you may carry more than that. Trip type
Lahore to Islamabad Rent a Car: One Way Drop or Return Trip
A one way drop is not automatically half the price of a return trip. The car and driver still have to travel back to Islamabad after dropping you off, and that return distance has a real fuel and time cost.
We run Lahore, Peshawar and Multan often, in both directions. So we can usually work out a fair one way rate rather than charging the full return fare. For a city outside our regular routes, the return leg has to be covered either way, so the one way fare is closer to what a full round trip costs. Tell us your city and direction on WhatsApp and we will confirm the exact rate for your trip.

How is the price of an intercity trip decided?
The price depends on the car, on whether you want a one way drop or a return trip, and on how you handle fuel and the motorway toll.
There are two ways to cover fuel and the motorway toll on an intercity trip. A lump sum quote wraps the car, driver, fuel and toll into a single number, so nothing changes once you leave PWD Society. The second option charges only for the car and driver, and you pay the toll booth and fill the tank as the trip goes. Since the M-2 toll changes from time to time, we always confirm the current figure on WhatsApp before your booking is locked in.

What is the road to Lahore like, and what is the toll?
The M-2 to Lahore has service areas at Chakri, Kallar Kahar, Bhera and Sial for fuel, food and restrooms. The current motorway toll for a car is around PKR 1,430, though this can change, so we do not quote it as fixed. Cars are limited to 120 kilometers an hour on the motorway, and buses and coasters run slower at 110. If you ever need help on the road, the National Highways and Motorway Police helpline is 130, available around the clock.
We run these trips day and night. An early morning departure for a Lahore meeting or a late evening drop after a Peshawar visit is normal for us.
